Some finds on Cefn Sidan beach which may be of interest to members were the corpses of a Common Porpoise Phocoena phocoena on 14 August 1992 (also a pup on 11 August), and a dolphin (too decayed for specific identification) on 15 September 1992.

Peter Hope Jones (1974)* additionally lists other cetaceans which have been found, on this or nearby beaches: Lesser Rorqual Balaenoptera acutorostrata (1960); Bottle-nosed Whales Hyperoodon ampullatus (1918); Pilot Whale Glohicephala melana (1973) and False Killer Whale Pseudorca crassidens (1934).
